Molly DeWitt’s radiant heart was as expansive as her insatiable curiosity and imagination.
Endlessly creative, spunky, and strong-willed, Molly passionately poured herself into her interests — creating through art and design, learning about the world, dancing with abandon, excelling at soccer, and helping others.
We lost Molly on July 4, 2025 in the Camp Mystic and Guadalupe River flooding, yet her impact will be felt forever.
To carry on her legacy, our family has created the Live Like Molly fund to aid those she wanted to comfort. Drawn to anyone on the margins, such as refugees, kids who felt different, people without homes, and more, her instinct was to notice, extend help and kindness.
Her blue-green eyes held remarkable depth, her beautiful smile lit up every room, her expressions told stories of joy and brightness, and her older sister Annie was her hero.
Molly was filled with the love of Christ, inspiring her to care for others with compassion beyond her years. Though her time here was heartbreakingly short, Molly’s legacy of empathy, wonder, and unfiltered joy will carry on through the Live Like Molly fund.
Mighty Molly’s
Sugar Shack
Molly’s big sister, Annie, celebrated her 12th birthday by honoring Molly’s memory. Creating Might Molly’s Sugar Shack in late July 2025, Annie sold lemonade, snow cones and cookies, raising thousands of dollars in a single day, with all proceeds benefitting the Live Like Molly fund and her fellow Mystic angels.
